Widecombe Fair

Tom Pearce, Tom Pearce, lend me your grey mare

All along, down along, out along lee.

For I want to go down to Widecombe Fair

Wi’ Bill Brewer, Jan Stewer, Peter Gurney,

Peter Davy, Dan’l Whiddon, Harry Hawk,

Old Uncle Tom Cobley and all

Old Uncle Tom Cobley and all

And when shall I see again my old grey mare?

All along, down along, out along lee.

By Friday soon or Saturday noon

Wi’ Bill Brewer, Jan Stewer, Peter Gurney,

Peter Davy, Dan’l Whiddon, Harry Hawk,

Old Uncle Tom Cobley and all

Old Uncle Tom Cobley and all

So they harnessed and bridled the old grey mare

All along, down along, out along, lee.

And off they drove to Widecombe fair,

Wi’ Bill Brewer, Jan Stewer, Peter Gurney,

Peter Davy, Dan'l Whiddon, Harry Hawk,

Old Uncle Tom Cobley and all

Old Uncle Tom Cobley and all.

It's a great deal longer than that.

Glasto t-shirt design!

This one is thanks to my cousin Sophie who pointed out that these musicians silhouettes would be good for the glasto t-shirt competition! I agreed and reappropiated them for it! Fingers crossed... I'd like a ticket.

Alice in Wonderland

Book jacket design for Alice...

Another page from the environmental picture book I'm working on, here's the verse.

'One day a wind, worse than ever, began to blow in. It whipped itself into a fierce rage, tearing hats from heads and pots and pans from their hooks. It took baskets and books, and blankets from beds, and one or two cats. And that was not all. '

Soon, Silence

My response to the following: "Soon, silence will have passed into legend. Man has turned his back on silece. Day after day he invents machines and devices that increase noise and distract humanity from the essence of life. contemplation, meditation... tooting, howling, screeching, booming, crashing, whistling, grinding and trilling bolster his ego. His anxiety subsides. His inhuman void spreads monstrously, like a grey vegetation" Jean Arp.

Unfinished Self-initiated.

These two rough illustrations for a vaguely environmental fable that I've written and am mid-way through illustrating!

Who Knows What Nose?

I made a game - Who Knows What Nose - the idea is that you have to guess what object has taken the place of the nose. Answers can be found if you scroll down. It's a bit silly but a bit of fun. The box looks really smart as well!

A rainy day.

Practicing

These are some practice photo's for our current self-initiated project, for which I am illustrating the story of a girl who likes to play out in the storms! I'm not sure what it's called yet, although I have written a poem for it which I will post at some point. I'm combining projections, models, cut outs and drawings trying to get a film noiry thing going on. With lots of lighting and shadows et al.
